Grooming Staff:
Miguel Retes, Groomer—Miguel has groomed with Stream Valley since 2005, and, though his career has taken him elsewhere, you will still see him here about once a month, normally on every third Monday. He has been a veterinary professional since 1990, and he earned his grooming certification in 2002 from the Virginia School of Pet Grooming. Miguel's "pet family" has included dogs, cats, and guinea pigs throughout the years. His current dog, Shelby, is a standard poodle, affording him plenty of practice with doggie hair-styling!
Kim Telesz, Groomer—Kim has been grooming since 2000, and she graduated from the Maryland School of Dog Grooming in Silver Spring, MD in 2001. She also has experience owning and operating a mobile pet salon. Kim specializes in grooming terrier breeds and in using hand scissoring techniques. Her own dog, Fletch, is an Australian Terrier.
Jane Boyd, Bather/Assistant—Jane's passion for animals was reason enough to leave the travel industry after eighteen years to pursue her lifelong dream of working with pets. She has worked and groomed for the SPCA, followed by a year of mobile grooming in Northern Virginia and working the past three years at a kennel and cattery before coming to Stream Valley.
