Reception Staff:
Linda Cummings: Linda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Marillac College in Arlington, Virginia and her Master of Science degree in Nursing at Marymount University. After serving for over thirty years, she retired from the United States Navy, Nurse Corps, at the rank of Captain.
Emily Hall: Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Kinesiology from Shenandoah University. She is considering pursuing further studies in the veterinary field. Her personal interests include skiing and photography.
Marybeth Baker: Marybeth is a Certified Nursing Assistant who is also CPR/AED certified. Additionally, her background includes marketing and management (retail/sales), which gives her a great focus on client service. With three cats, Marybeth has quite the “pet family” of her own!
Alana Narciso: Joining us in Ashburn from Jacksonville, Florida, Alana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Florida (with a minor in Social Welfare). Previously, she served as Social Services Director in a long-term care nursing facility for seven years. Her family includes a husband, two step-children, an American Bulldog named Sampson, and a cat named Chi Chi.
Technician/Assistant Staff:
Shannon Robinson, Lead: Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology from the State University of New York. Currently, she is also studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). Shannon’s special interests include wildlife care, making her one of our go-to staffers when rabbits, ducks, birds, turtles, and such come through our doors! She also serves as a leader and liaison in our work with the Broadlands Nature Center.
Jessica Fickling: Since 2002, Jessica has worked in the veterinary field as a kennel attendant, a receptionist, and a technician. Before coming to Stream Valley, she gained experience as a veterinary ER technician. She has four dogs and three cats, and she enjoys softball. On an interesting side note, Jessica's mother graduated high school with Dr. Corey!
Ana Karajanova: Ana currently is a student in San Juan College's Veterinary Technology program. Her experience and special interests include emergency medicine and oncology. Ana has a big heart for big dogs, including Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Mastiffs. She has a cat and hopes someday to add one of those big dogs to her own life!
