Vaccine, Testing, and Preventative Protocols for Boarding and Daycare
While your pet is a day or overnight guest in the kennel at
Stream
Valley, our goal is to make sure that he or she stays healthy and happy during this stay. For the safety of all our guests, we require that each pet is up to date on core vaccinations, testings, and preventatives for the duration of the visit. Per the doctors' recommendation, some pets may be too ill or too young to have received all of these necessities, and we will take whatever precautions we can to prevent exposure.
Additionally, if your pet is new to our practice, whether he or she is up-to-date or not, we will perform a pre-boarding exam so that we can have baseline information on file. This will assist us in watching for changes in demeanor, appetite, activity, etc., so that we are more likely to catch any problems before they become serious.
We highly recommend that exams, vaccines, and testings be made and kept current before kennel drop-off, but we can and will perform an exam and provide treatments and services during a kennel stay as needed. Should your pet need any updates during his or her stay, we will provide you with an estimate to review and sign, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have at that time.
Our protocols are as follows:
