Nutritional Counseling and Prescription Diets

Nutrition plays an important role in overall health.  Our medical staff can recommend youth, adult, and senior maintenance foods to promote and sustain good health.  We can also dispense prescription diets to address medical issues including diabetes, allergies, renal disease, gastrointestinal distress, and arthritis.

Additionally, obesity is a growing concern for domestic pets.  We offer several types of weight loss and maintenance prescription foods, and our veterinary team can recommend which of those will work best, in conjunction with suitable exercise, to help your pet reach and remain at a healthy weight.

New in 2011 is the Hills® Prescription Diet® Therapeutic Weight Reduction Program.  Much like some of the weight loss options available for us, this program includes pre-measured, pre-packaged meals and treats for each day.  This means that you won’t have to measure meals or calculate calories, and you’ll still get to reward your pet with “snacks” throughout the day.
