Dr. Syamsundar Gaddamanugu
Dr. Syam is originally from India, where he developed a love for caring for animals! In India, he received his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree, and worked mostly with large animals for over 8 years before coming to the United States in 2008. In 2011, Dr. Sam received his Master's Degree in Molecular Avian Biology from the University of Delaware. Upon completion of his Master's he went on to complete the certification program for the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG). He later passed the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) in 2015, which is a requirement for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the U.S. and Canada. Dr. Sam has been living in Virginia since 2015, and joined Stream Valley in February of 2019!
Dr. Syam has a strong interest in both surgery and diagnostic imaging, and he is experienced in soft-tissue and bone surgical procedures. Outside of work, he enjoys painting and gardening. His wife is an IT consultant, and together they have two children, ages 8 and 4. In the future, Dr. Sam hopes to receive board certification in surgery/lab animal medicine.
