Boarding

Boarding with Stream Valley

Stream Valley's kennel is the perfect "vacation" option for your pets while you are away!  In your absence, your pet's care occurs under the watchful eyes of the entire team--not only of the kennel staff, but also of the veterinary doctors and technicians.

Kennel & Play Yard

Our interior kennels are in a climate-controlled facility.  Kennel sizes vary for individual pet comfort.  During the day, our staff hand walks and/or offers play time at least three times per day.  Dogs can enjoy our three fence-enclosed yards, which feature a climbing gym, a covered arbor, a grassy yard, and an above-ground pool (used as the weather permits).  Please note: pets are never left unsupervised in these outdoor areas so that we may minimize risks, including ingestion of outdoor toys and plants.

Bedding & Toys

We have a varied supply of bedding and toys, but personal belongings from home are welcome.  Please label all items from home.  Note that we cannot guarantee to return these items in their original condition.  Some belongings, deemed unsafe by the veterinary staff, may be withheld.

Meals & Snacks

At no additional charge, we provide Hill's Adult Maintenance Diet to our boarding guests.  However, you are welcome to bring your pet's food and treats from home.  Please be sure to label all food and treats from home.

Special Needs Pets

Because our kennel staff works so closely with our medical staff, we can also administer medications and care for special-needs boarders (diabetics, epileptics, etc.).  As needed, a staff member can "walk-through" the facility during the late night hours, checking the safety and security of these pets.

Exotics & Pocket Pets

With the assistance of our medical staff, we are also able to board certain exotic and pocket pets (excluding pets such as large birds and snakes who require more space and/or habitat balance than we are able to provide).  These pets are generally kept in our hospital treatment area, under near-constant supervision during our open business hours.  In order to keep these pets safe and happy, we ask that you provide appropriate cages/housing, bedding, water bottles, supplements, etc.  Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to reserve boarding for your exotic or pocket pet!

Your pet can truly enjoy a "resort vacation," complete with play time and activities with our staff and even a "spa" visit with our groomer or simply add basic grooming options while they are in our care!  Veterinary services are available during your pet's stay, too.  We are happy to provide you an estimate for any of the services required or requested during your pet's stay.

To make a reservation:

  1.  Please call us at (703)723-1017.

  2. Submit the admission form!

  3. We will call you to confirm availability

We ask that you make boarding reservations early; weekend and holiday periods tend to fill up quickly. We will give you a call to confirm availability. Once your pet's dates are reserved, THEN you can submit the Boarding Admission Form online.

Contact us to request a Boarding Service Treatment Plan to complete and sign before drop-off, or you should allow the time for completion at your drop-off.  We require a $50 (per pet) deposit for all boarding reservations, which will then be applied to your invoice total at the end of the boarding stay.  This deposit is refundable if you personally notify our reception team of your cancellation at least fourteen (14) days prior to the start of your reservation.

Call us at (703) 723-1017 to check our availability.
**This does not guarantee your pet has a spot in our kennel, our staff will call you back to confirm**
