Grooming at Cottage Clips
Why Groom? My Pet is Already Beautiful
Grooming is much more than just keeping your pet beautiful. It is an essential part of maintaining your pets overall health! It is recommended to start grooming your pets when they are young, teaching them to better endure grooming sessions with more agreeableness. However, the best time is now! Regular grooming will reduce excess shedding, help prevent certain skin diseases, keep hair from matting, and lessen dander and pollen being shed inside your house. Leading to better general sanitation of your home and taming those allergy flare-ups! All dogs and cats need grooming regardless of breed, size, or coat type.
Another major benefit of a proper grooming is it allows for a professional to check your dog for abnormalities including: skin problems, ticks, fleas, and dry patches, or issues with their nails, teeth, ears, and eyes. When these problems are found early on, they can be treated right away, increasing the likelihood of exterminating the issue before it can develop and become more serious.
Depending on the size of your pet, a full-service bath ranges from $45-56. The base grooming price depends on your pet's breed, and pamper packages are also available!
We ask that you please plan ahead and call for your appointment as soon as you can! We can even set up recurring appointments as part of The Preferred Client Program.

Our Groomer, Wendy, started with the SVVH kennel team in April of 2021, before transferring over to Cottage Clips. Wendy has lived in Northern Virginia all her life, and she brings along 16 years of management experience, and 13 years of experience in dog grooming. In the veterinary field, she hopes to learn as much as she can about all aspects of work at Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital. Wendy hopes to be the best that she can be during her time at SVVH.
In Wendy's family, she has an elderly mother, two older brothers, and one younger sister. Wendy is very much an animal lover, as well as a sports fanatic for the Washington teams. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to classic rock music, working on jigsaw puzzles, and learning about the ghost/paranormal world. Juggling is her hidden talent!
