Kate, Kennel Attendant/Receptionist
Kate started her Stream Valley journey in August 2020 as a kennel attendant, until she was cross-trained to work both in kennel and as a veterinary assistant. She is a graduate of James Madison University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.
Kate grew up in Ashburn, where she currently resides, as an only child with two loving parents. Her dog, Lucky, is a 15-year-old schnoodle! Outside of work, Kate enjoys going on long walks and spending time with close friends. She also likes trying new places to eat, wherever that may be. In the future, she hopes to be able to travel a lot someday.
Cameron, Kennel Attendant
Cameron started his time at SVVH in September of 2021 as a Kennel Attendant. He is a graduate of Montclair State University, where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education Health and Exercise Science. Cameron also brings along previous experience of working as a kennel attendant and helping as a Bernese Mountain dog breeder. His interests in the veterinary field include training, helping, and caring for all animals, especially dogs. He hopes to become a vet tech someday!
Cameron is originally from New Jersey, but he moved to Northern Virginia in 2018 to be closer with his family who reside in Waterford. His father, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, was in the Army for 20 years. His mother, was a kindergarten/elementary school teacher for 25 years. He also has an older sister, who has 3 beautiful daughters. In his spare time, Cameron enjoys exercising/working out, watching movies/shows, playing video games, going on hikes in the mountains, and going to the beach.
Jordan, Kennel Attendant
Jordan originally worked with our Kennel team from 2016 until 2019, when he made the decision to resign and focus on his studies at George Mason University. After some time away, Jordan returned to SVVH on a part-time basis in the summer of 2021. Jordan and his sister, Kelsey (SVVH's Marketing Manager), have been the dynamic duo in many capacities at Stream Valley for quite some time! He has always been an animal lover and greatly enjoys working with the many animals who come through our doors.
Of course, like his sister, Jordan is native to the Northern Virginia area. He lived in Ashburn, Virginia for 18 years of his life until the family moved to Aldie, Virginia in 2017. Jordan currently lives with his parents, sister, and two Australian Labradoodles, Bode and Boomer. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys playing video games with his friends, keeping up with the DC sports teams, learning about space, tinkering with the computer he built, and spending time with friends or family. In the future, Jordan hopes to use his extensive catalog of computer skills to work in 3d rendering or design.
Ben, Kennel Attendant
Ben came onto our Kennel team as a Kennel Attendant in September of 2021. He initially worked part-time with our reception team until he moved to full-time in the Kennel. The kennel and customer service experience he brought with him, along with his love for animals, made him a great fit for our Stream Valley team. Ben is also a graduate of the University of South Australia, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts.
Ben is originally from Australia, but he moved to the United States when he married his wife, Brandy. They currently reside in Gore, Virginia with their dog, Miles, and their cat, Kahless. Outside of work, Ben enjoys drawing, creative writing, baking, and coding. With his creative focus in life, he hopes to someday create something that the whole world can enjoy!
