This past weekend, Abby--one of our wonderful Kennel Attendants--attended the Virginia Ruff Riders' agility trials at Frying Pan Park. She had a great time with her dogs and her students. Here's what she had to share about her weekend at the competition!
Everyone had such a good time at the agility trials! My dogs were only entered in a few classes since I had a lot of students enter as well. Therefore, I was available if they needed any help, but my dogs did great too! I was happy to see that many of my students had a fun time with their dogs. A few of them even had qualifying runs and placed in their divisions! Congrats to them!
I was also running a novice level dog for a friend of mine that did really well. I can't wait to see what is in store for his future. He is going to be good in competitions to come! Next, I have to thank my own dogs! They put up with a lot this weekend, especially with not always getting the best warm-up before their runs. They still listened and gave me their best efforts in every run; even my young dog Ruckus! I feel like he is maturing and thinking about his job instead of being the reckless puppy he was a few months ago.
Of course, there's my older dog, Usher! I am so lucky to have him. He is such an honest dog; he is always doing exactly what is asked of him!
Thanks to VA Ruff Riders for hosting this great show! We can't wait for future events.
